Gigis is not about rediscovering Southern cooking, it’s an ingredient driven focus exploring the reality of Southern food. Using modern and classic technique paired with artistic and rustic plating result in playful dishes such as our fried green tomato BLT with pimento cheese and bacon tomato jam.
As Chef Nathan would say, “find the best ingredients and keep it simple.” We treat fresh local products with the proper respect. Showcasing farm fresh harvests, from organic free-range meats to tree-ripened sweetness; this is the heart of farm to table cooking. We transform our menu seasonally with the intention of keeping ingredients the season’s freshest and the variety of dishes dynamic.
Chef Nathan strives to offer locally grown produce and responsibly sourced meat and fish whenever possible. Central Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas provide a vast selection of delicious artisan foods. Gigis collaborates with and promotes over a dozen nearby farms and producers. We love our community and we love food.
